The POLITIX of Flakeville


Many of us regular flakers affectionately refer to SNOWDAYS as "Flakeville".  The reason this name became so popular is because there is a real community feel about the place.  It is an international community made up of people from around the globe who have one thing in common...we LOVE to make flakes at SNOWDAYS!

Flakeville is a town without a Mayor, it has no City Council, and the Police are only interested in enforcing language laws and taking away people's scissors when they think they've cut enough!  This has left Flakeville as sort of an ungoverned "wild west" town where anything goes. 

Unfortunately, these ungoverned conditions will attract some rather unsavory individuals with agendas of their own that do not necessarily include making flakes.  These folks get more fun out of tormenting others, leaving messages in their names or being crude and disgusting.  Whatever it takes to upset the normally smooth running community that we have all come to cherish.

I think there will always be the "passers by" who will do this while they briefly visit the site and then move on.  I also think there is at least one "regular" who targets individuals in Flakeville at will, (most likely because they are rather untalented / unpopular and cannot stand to see others who are!)

Those of us who have flaked for a while are all too aware of this lonely and sad individual's endeavors to make everyone else's lives a misery like their own is.  Most of us will just shrug off the comments and pretend they didn't happen.  Those of us who do that do not get "hassled" much because the "thrill" has been taken away for this individual.

As there are no "laws" to govern such things in our Wild West town, I propose we, the citizens of Flakeville, take the law into our own hands!  Here is the LAW that should be used when you see these comments/flakes.

The LAW for dealing with "them"

If you receive these comments on one or more of your flakes, DO NOT RESPOND!!!  Responses are what these people are looking for.  If they get one or more from you, they will continue to "stalk" you and try and get more.  Pretend it didn't happen and "move on"!  Likewise, if you see these comments on your friend's flakes, DO THE SAME.  I know it is difficult not to stick up for your friends, but once more, you are "feeding the cancer" and actually promoting more such comments.  Don't tell them how horrible they are, don't tell them you feel sorry for them, SHUN THEM!
