MANY
thanX to Frank for these most "x"cellent directions and diagrams!
LOTS of work went into getting these to me, (a long story), but they are
here and I am delighted to be FINALLY posting them! :D -X-

![]() Here are the revised instructions. I will try to be concise and to the point, but it is a little difficult to explain. Believe it or not I once went to college with the ideal of becoming a teacher, LOL! First off, I cut these twist flakes as a One Cut, because it solves several problems at the same time; done properly, all the sections ‘light up’ and the flake is flipped and you’re done. Now I have used this one cut tek on fiber – optix flakes also, for the same reasons… It can most certainly be done differently and flipped in the traditional manner, which allows the flaker to add sparkles and do-dads as the SP’s permit. To each his/her own. This example is a simple 3 twist enclosed flake… kind of looks like a pizza or a colander when finished… many possibilities exist once the ‘tek’ is clearly fixed in your mind… Figure 1 shows the entire cut path.
Figure 2 shows the colored direction lines. Remember, this is a One Cut. It begins on the upper left hand side of the blank triangle (Red Start line) and also ends at the exact same point along the edge (Blue Finish line). The cut enters the triangle and proceeds to form the outer curves of the twists. This example is simple, but as it gets more complicated, start small and make bigger curves cutting downward, leaving room at the bottom for the strand that Exits Left or is to be a lower vine tip… Re-enter the triangle lower down to form the thickness of the first strand (Blue Line), curving upward and to the right to where the crossing strand is formed. At that point, cut toward the lowest corner of the first Red Line, just touching it… Reverse direction, cutting slightly above the previous line. Proceed to cut to the right, curving upward as shown and exiting the triangle on the right side… Note how much higher the line is cut; this is to create a circular effect to the flake… Re-enter the triangle on the right hand side higher up to form the thickness of the second strand… following the previous cut and then the opposing red line cut, curving upward to the next crossing strand. Then cut sharply left and up, to just touch next inside corner of the Red Line… From the Yellow Line on up thru the Orange line the same pattern is repeated, forming the strands. The Yellow lines at the top form a flower pattern for the center of the flake. The Second Red Line re-enters the triangle to form the last adjoining strand and the rest is do-dads throw in while circling clockwise back to the starting point, which is also the Blue Line Finish point. Release the mouse button and you’re done!
Happy
Flaking!
