MICRO

PM
DISCOVERS ANOTHER SNOWDAYS DISPLAY LIMITATION
Well,
unless you do a lot of Micro-Flaking, you probably would never come across
this
totally
bizarre display at SnowDays. But it IS rather kewl, so I thought
I would share it.
Now
that we flakers have the means of creating amazingly detailed flakes, some
neat
limitations
have been "x"posed. PM's
Distortion Flakes showed us one of these limita-
tions,
and now she has "discovered" yet another one. She sent me the following
letter.
Here
is PM's Micro Flake as it appears at SnowDays...
As
most of you know, you can right click and hit ZOOM IN and will get a larger
version.
This
flake is soooo tiny that I had to ZOOM IN as far as the program would let
me.
This
is done by right clicking and hitting ZOOM IN again & again until you
reach
the
feature's ZOOM IN limit, (the flake details will no longer enlarge for
you).
Here
is what PM's Micro Flake looks like when that is done...
Fabulous
detail for a flake that's so small!
As
PM mentioned in her letter, this feature also worX while we are creating
our flakes. You can
ZOOM
IN to see any flaws your flake may have before sending it off to the masses!
Here
is PM's flake as it appeared to her at the 550% Internet "X"plorer 7 zoom
that she used to create it...
And
here finally is how it appeared when she used the SnowDays flash ZOOM IN
feature to check the "details"...
The
flake has been "split" into equal negative and positive pieces, giving
it a sort of Japanese Rising Sun quality. KEWL!!!
My
many thanX to PM for discovering and sharing this rather unique "trick"!
