Lines. Did you
say LINES????
Once upon a midnight
dreary
All alone and
oh-so-weary
Someone sent
a flake to me.
Now I make them
constantly.
I stopped a lovely
flake that night,
It sparkled,
shimmered, awesome sight!
A website written
there upon
That sealed my
fate. All hope is gone.
A simple star
I soon could make,
Then flip it
'round, where I could take
A different point
of view, and play
With snowflakes
sparkling night and day.
Then, ohhhhhh!
Melting starz and starz that ZOOM
Until I never
left my room.
Countless hours,
days on end,
New twists, new
turns, new morphs to bend.
Once I thought
SnowDays had died.
I fell upon the
floor and cried.
A NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
so anguished people say
Twas heard for
miles and miles away.
I paced the room,
one endless loop
And stopped each
time, once more to stoop
At keyboard there
within my cage.
Reload. Reload.
Reload the page.
Rewrote my will.
"Drop ashes please
from mountain
top in hearty breeze,
perchance to
drop, a form to make.
One last attempt
at THE great flake."
From depths of
pain my soul did wake
Brought back
by cheers my child did make.
Through black
clouds, dimly perceived
MOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!
IT'S BACK! You Must BELIEVE!
OOOOooooooooooohhhhhhhh
Yeah. And Greater than before.
I search on this
and that for more,
Awed by creations
of Masters of Flake.
Delighted to
see what perhaps I could make ...
Well ...
If I could only
draw straight.
But I can't.
It's my fate.
Everywhere ...
MisterX and the
Masters, in the advice:
"Depends on straight
lines" that you draw through the ice.
I can't draw a
line with a ruler, my friend.
"SOME DAY Master"
dreams quickly end.
Did I say a ruler?
No. I'll draw **between** TWO.
And still you
won't see a straight line when I'm through.
Oh well.
Then I will learn
sparklies, and movies of light
Maybe learn to
fool Scissors, that evil I fight.
And if, though
I try, I can never draw lines.
I can describe
it, and laugh, with these rhymes.
Dominoe.
I
thank you all. Program designers, Tips 'n' Trix contributors, and
Master
Flakers whose works of art take my breath. You freely share
beauty,
encouragement, and teachings, and today that is a
manifestation
of true giving that the world needs.
