Most
of us are used to being able to just right click and hit save when we want
to save an image to our computers while surfing,
but
as Snowdays is a flash oriented site, this normally easy task can not be
performed there. So is there a way to capture our
flake
images and save them forever? Of course there is!
In
fact, I am sure there are probably hundreds of ways to do this! This
page will "x"plain two very different ways...
Remember,
both of these methods will work with your flakes at SnowDays, or ANYTHING
ELSE you wish to capture!
How
to capture Images
(the
"X" way!)
I
use 2 different FREE programs to capture and edit images. Both are
GREAT, and get used often!
One
is Gadwin Printscreen (to capture the image), the other is Irfanview (an
image viewer that allows
for
cropping the catured image, resizing it, sharpening it, etc.)
You
can get both these programs for free, right from MisterX.ca!
They
are the 1st 2 programs listed HERE
on my "freebies" page.
Using these programs is super easy!
The full instructions can be viewed on this page HERE at my forum!
How
to capture Images
(the
"windows" way!)
Fellow
"flaker", Jan Personette, sent this PowerPoint file to me some time ago.
She was asking me
for
my input, in case she forgot to mention something. As I have always
used the above mentioned
method,
I really wasn't of much help to her! Yesterday, I stumbled upon it
again, and that was what
gave
me the idea to create this page.
I think she did a WONDERFUL JOB with it. It is easy to understand and follow along to :)
