The
last tab I shall discuss here in the ADJUST OPTIONS is the GRADIENT tab.
It will allow you to choose the colors that will
appear
in your fractal design. You can make it black and white, or flourescent
green and pink, or anything in between. As
always
with Apophysis, the options are endless and you will decide what looks
best for your design.
Once
again, the GRADIENT option is easy to use and comprehend. Click the
GRADIENT tab and a window appears that shows
you
the CURRENT gradient the program is using. Slide the bar from left
to right to see how it changes your image in the preview.
Not
happy with the gradient you are currently using? Click on the arrow
shown below to get dozens of more gradient options.
Click
one of those options and the new gradient appears. Use the "rotate"
gradient slide bar to see what you can get with the
new
gradient you have chosen. Still not happy with your colors?
Choose yet another gradient and repeat the process! ;D
Below
we see I have chosen a bright gradient with multiple colors in it and have
slid the bar to a place I found appropriate.
Compare
the top picture's fractal to the one below. The colors have all changed
to something I found more appealing.
Once
again, "play around" a bit! You will find something that appeals
to you too! :D
Now
remember, this is a quick fractal I have made from the 1st random image
the program gave me when I opened it.
It
is NOT a "masterpiece" by any means, nor does it even come CLOSE to being
my BEST creation. However, I have
managed
to demonstrate MANY of the options that APO gives the artist.
So
far, I have shown you how to manipulate your creation triangles to change
and "morph" your fractal. I have zoomed
out
on the design, and used the SCALE option to zoom back into an area of the
fractal that appeals to me. I have positioned
the
design to be in a place I want it to, and I rotated it to a position that
appealed to me. I used the RENDER option to control
the
grainy-ness, and brightness, and sharness of the image, - and now, I have
changed my fractal's colors too! HOW AMAZING!!!
As
you can see, once you have done the things mentioned here and on previous
pages, the fractal creation you are working on
will
become UNIQUELY YOURS, as no one else could possibly duplicate the things
you have done with it. After just a few creations,
you
will want to share your fractal worX with your friends and family, just
to get those "WOW", and "How on Earth...?", and "You're
so
talented" comments from them!
Rightfully so, too! You ARE so talented!!!
You
surely
WILL amaze yourself when you see what you will do with this program, and
you SURELY will amaze your friends and
family,
as they will think you are some sort of computer GEEK to achieve such amazing
and colorful "computer art" at home, but you
and
I know it is CHILD'S PLAY to make them while playing with the AMAZING Apophysis
Program!!!
It
is relaXing, theraputic, and in some ways, almost SPIRITUAL. Apophysis
opens our eyes & minds to a new and most "X"citing universe.
The
pay off? A beautiful digital image that leaves them saying "how'd
they do that?", and leaves YOU saying, "did I REALLY make that?!".
Oh dear, once again I find myself "ranting" about this whole thing, but I should state right here that I JUST CAN'T HELP MYSELF !!!
If
you are just reading along with the the instructions and still haven't
actually tried the program, GO DO IT!!!!! Can't you see I want you
to
"x"perience artistic "bones in your body" that you never knew "x"isted?!
Just go to PAGE ONE and follow
along. TRUST ME!!!! lol!
Now we know how to make a fractal, let's learn how to save them HERE in Stage 9!
