A
TRIANGLE
ADD
A TRIANGLE
CLICK
THIS OPTION AND A NEW TRIANGLE WILL APPEAR. THE NEW TRIANGLE WILL
EFFECT YOUR DESIGN DIFFERENTLY THAN THE ORIGINALS DO.
REMOVE
A TRIANGLE
YOU
CAN SIMPLIFY YOUR FRACTAL DESIGN BY REMOVING TRIANGLES. WATCH THE
PREVIEW WINDOW TO SEE WHAT YOU ARE REMOVING!
DUPLICATE
A TRIANGLE
CLICKING
THIS BUTTON WILL DUPLICATE A TRIANGLE. THE NEW TRIANGLE WILL GIVE
"MIRROR IMAGES" OF THE ORIGINAL IT DUPLICATED.
ADDING
A TRIANGLE
Below
I have clicked on the ADD a triangle icon. A shiny new light blue
triangle has arrived!
A
bit of manipulation, and the preview window reveals I have added some dimension
to my fractal!
You
can click on the ADD option AGAIN, and will get yet ANOTHER creation triangle.
Doing it several times, and
moving
each new triangle in gradual progression, can make for some very kewl 3-D
effeX! ;D
REMOVING
A TRIANGLE
I
didn't remove any triangles in this particular fractal, so have no screen
shots for you. Just play with this option to see
what
it does in your own fractals.
Remember,
when you remove a triangle, you are removing part of the fractal's design.
Accordingly,
when you add a triangle, you are adding to the fractal's design.
Finding
a balance of how many to use and where to place them is up to you and your
own personal preferences :D
***
HANDY X-TIP ***
Also,
remember there are UNDO and REDO buttons. They can make or break
your design when "fiddling around" with triangles!
You'll
find these awesome tools by clicking on EDIT
then UNDO
or REDO.
;D

POTENTIALLY ANNOYING X-RANT ***
WOW!
You've actually made it through 5 of my fractal making instructional pages!!!
ThanX so much for "hanging in there"!
You
already know WAYYYY more than I did just a few weeks ago, and I was making
some pretty kewl fractals back then! :D
I'm
sure you have gathered by now, that making fractals is very much
an INDIVIDUAL PREFERENCE sort of thing. There is no
"wrong
way" or "right way" to make them. As with ALL true art forms, the
creator gets FINAL SAY as to how their work will show.
Apophysis
is truly an artist's dream program, because it truly offers
ENDLESS possibilities! Your artworX may be blurry, or they
may
be clear, they may be colorful or in black & white. You might
spend a whole 5 minutes creating one, or you might be "stuck"
and
spend 5 hours before you are happy. Heck, you might just say, "screw
it!", and destroy a fractal that you worked on for an
hour!
(...trust me, it happens! lol!)
Whether
you personally consider yourself "artistic" is your own opinion.
Trust me yet again, and BELIEVE ME...YOU will create "art"
when
playing with this program, and YOU will amaze yourself and
your friends and family with it! You just can't help it!!!
Everything
you
do to your fractal is UNIQUELY YOURS, and no one can duplicate what YOU
do to it! Even if you do not want to continue looking
into
this further, I encourage you to SHARE the information found at this site
with folks that you KNOW to be artistic. They will thank
you
up & down for doing so!!! ;D
OK, I have ranted
enough for now!
LET'S CONTINUE
OUR "X"PLORATION INTO THIS AMAZING WORLD, AND SEE WHAT'S NEXT IN STEP
6.
