Final Image
All
right, you have the program open with an image you like, as described HERE.
Now it is time to start the creation
process,
and the first place we'll do that is with the CREATION TRIANGLES.
Click on the option shown below to
begin
editing the image you have chosen.
Once
clicked on, you will see another window open up, and it will show you the
Creation Triangle's current positions.
These
triangles and their positions are what determine how the current image
appears, and playing with them will
greatly
change your image. Each corner on the various triangles shown has
been assigned a designation of either,
"X",
"Y", or "0".
(ABOVE
WE SEE THE ORIGINAL CREATION TRIANGLE WINDOW. IT SHOWS THE TRIANGLES,
AND ALSO HAS A PREVIEW WINDOW IN IT.)
Now there is much "magic" with these triangles! Learning it is what will make YOU a fractal STAR! :D
The
first thing you should know is that you can "grab" any corner of a triangle.
Place your pointer on a corner, then
left
click and hold. Below we see I have done so on the red triangle's
"0".
I
can now drag the entire red triangle and reposition it. Here we see
I have moved it down & right from its original
position,
and LOOK!!! The fractal image in the preview window has also changed
accordingly!
(GRABBING
A TRIANGLE'S "0" POINT WILL ALLOW YOU TO REPOSITION THE ENTIRE TRIANGLE,
WITHOUT DISTORTING ITS CURRENT SHAPE)
Now,
if you grab and drag an "X" or "Y" corner on any triangle, you JUST move
that corner, and NOT the rest
of
the triangle. Below we see what I did with the red triangle when
I grabbed the "Y" and gave it a pull! The
other
two corners have remained in place, but I can put the "Y" where ever I
please! LOOK! Once again, the
preview
window has shown the shape change as we "x"periment with these triangles.
(GRABBING
A TRIANGLE'S "X" OR "Y" CORNER ALLOWS FOR THE MOVEMENT OF JUST THAT POINT.)
Now
grab and move the other triangles that appear here. Below I moved
the yellow triangle and once again
watched
the fractal in the preview window "morph" as I did so. Watching the
preview window as you manipulate
the
triangles is crucial in this creation process, as well as the future ones
to be described here.
(EACH
TRIANGLE MOVED OR DISTORTED BY YOU WILL HAVE AN EFFECT ON INDIVIDUAL PARTS
OF YOUR FRACTAL DESIGN)
Sometimes
it can be difficult to see "x"actly the part of the fractal you are changing
with these triangles. If you
"x"perience
this, there is an easy solution. Just "flatten out" your creation
triangle by making it into a very thin
line!
The part of the design it is changing will also become a thin line, as
shown below with the green triangle.
(FLATTEN
OUT INDIVIDUAL TRIANGLES TO DETERMINE THE AREA THEY ARE EFFECTING, THEN
RE"X"PAND THEM TO YOUR LIKING!)
OK,
so that's all simple and straight forward! Playing a bit with these
triangles will make you quite comfortable with them.
After
a while you will feel like a pro! ;D
But wait! There is MORE to triangles than what is "x"plained here!
More on the triangle's magic can be seen HERE in Step Four!
