The 2,000,000th flake.....
Increasing your chances by "SPEED FLAKING"

Dear Flakers,

Here's a little "trick" that might just increase your chances of getting that 2,000,000th flake.  In fact, it WILL increase it, up to TEN FOLD, or more!

Once upon a time, when there weren't that many of us "regular" flakers around, some of us would make blizzards at Snowdays by releasing several of our snowflakes at the SAME TIME (well, maybe not the "x"act same time, but within seconds of each other!)

This is the method that I used last year when trying for the millionth flake.  I used my old, slow computer and this method caused it to crash at the critical last moments, so if you decide to try this method for the 2 millionth flake, BEWARE!

1st, go to your email program and find a Snowdays Greeting.  Click the link in it that causes another window to open at Snowdays.

2nd, minimize the Snowdays window that just opened and go back to your email window.  Click the link again, causing a second Snowdays window to open.  Minimize that and go back to the email window again.  Click the link and a third Snowdays window will open.

3rd, continue opening as many Snowdays windows as your task bar will allow without "hiding" them.  I think on my computer I can open 10 Snowdays windows before this happens.  You might want to "play" with your task bar settings so you can have many windows visible and not hidden, or "grouped" on it.

4th, go to the first Snowdays window and design your flake.  You can make it as elaborate as you like, this is a "design my flakes and wait" method.  When you are done with this flake's design, click "done" and fill in the desired information.
DO NOT CLICK "ADD"!!!!! Simply minimize the window and move to flake #2's window.

5th, design the rest of your flakes in the order described in stage 4 above. DO NOT CLICK "ADD"!!!!!

6th, wait for the time you think is right to start releasing your flakes.  To release them do the following:
Go to your task bar where all of the Snowdays windows are listed....
Open flake #1's window, click on "add" .  Open flake #2's window, click on "add". Open flake #3's window, click on "add".
Continue doing this until all your flakes have been "added".  You don't need to minimize in this stage, just get those windows open and add your flakes like a crazy person!!!

The Snowdays program does not assign your flake a number until you hit the "add" button.  I think my record is 11 consecutive flake numbers in a row, (and I think that is THE record!), and if I remember correctly, there were around 70 flakers online at the time.

You now have an advantage for nabbing that esteemed flake....if your computer doesn't crash!  lol

UPDATE!

I just managed another 10 in a row!  I was aiming for flake #1969696, and got it!  I haven't attempted Speed Flaking since I was going for the 1,000,000th, so I managed to impress myself, lol!  They are numbers 1969688 thru 1969697 and I got them with 100 flakers online.

Also, you'll need to leave one of your Snowdays windows alone (don't make a flake on it) so you can watch the flake counter. (it'll "freeze" on the windows you are making your flakes on).
